The Israel Export Institute

The Israel Export Institute is a non-profit organization whose function is to directly
or indirectly increase Israel's exports.

Exporters, the Ministry of Industry & Trade, the Manufacturer's, jointly founded the
institute in 1958' Association of Israel and the Worker's Corporation.

There are some 2,500 exporters who are members of the Institute. In coordination
with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, they take an active part in running the
Institute and implementing its policies.

 

The Institute provides the exporter with all the information and services required.

Services of the Institute

 

 

 

Locating new markets.

 

Gathering information on markets.

 

Seminars and study days on a wide variety of topics (with the participation
of some 6,000 exporters).

 

Meetings with experts, purchasing agents and business people from all
parts of the world.

 

A library containing more than 10,000 titles.

 

A computerized database of companies.

 

A computerized database of business opportunities sorted according to the
needs of the exporter.

 

Advice on the following topics: insurance, logistics, financing and
government benefits, transport, packing and tariffs.

 

Participation in some 80 exhibitions and information booths abroad.

 

Production of sectoral catalogues and indexes.

 

Publication of information pamphlets, business information and surveys.

 

Newspaper for exporters.

 

Service bureaus and assistance for exporters in signing certificates of
origin, customs classification, etc.

 

A dynamic Internet site for clients in Israel and abroad in Hebrew and
English.

 

The site contains computerized catalogues, business opportunities,
newspapers, articles and connections to sites on international commerce.

 

Video conferencing for exporters.

 

Dealing with some 80 visiting delegations per year.

 

Events in Israel and abroad to encourage cooperation.

 

Information center on the Arab nations.

 

Information center on Russia and the former Russian republics.

Exports are encouraged through sectoral development plans and personal assistance
to each exporter. There are 34 sectors and sub-sectors, which are dealt with by
the following departments:

Hi-tech and start-ups, medical equipment and technology, metals, plastic and DIY,
consumer products, agricultural inputs and international projects, regional marketing
and trading blocs.

Start-up Companies

 

The Center for Start-up Companies works in cooperation with the Manufacturer's
Association and offers the following forms of assistance: advice on writing a
business plan, locating investors in Israel and abroad, business information and
guidance, participation in exhibitions abroad, the organization of delegations going
abroad and locating strategic partners.

International Tenders and Projects

International tenders and projects including tenders financed by the World Bank,
BID, EBRD and the UN. Assistance is offered in the following forms:

 

 

 

Locating and initial sorting of international tenders.

 

Distribution of international tenders to Israeli companies.

 

Assistance in purchasing tender documents.

 

Filling out tender forms.

 

Preparation of contracts.

 

Assistance in organizing groups of companies to compete for tenders.
